Barkat Ali is the founder of Point Psychiatry Behavioral Solutions in Sugar Land, Texas. He has decades of experience helping children, teens, adults, seniors, and families struggle with brain and mental health issues. He is licensed in both Texas and Idaho and holds additional certification in ADHD, Certified in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (C-DBT), and specialized in integrative and functional psychiatry.
He has extensive postgraduate experience in internal medicine, pediatrics, and psychiatry, having started his career at Liaquat University of Medical & Health Sciences and then here at the University of Texas Medical Center in Houston, Texas, as a research assistant. His ambition was to bring evidence-based medicine and affordable care available to everyone. He is proud to offer holistic and person-centered care. He quickly incorporated new neuroscience and psychopharmacology research into his treatment protocol and made it available to assist his patients at Point Psychiatry.
